the gift of simple original art

During summer 2013 I was fortunate enough to participate in a Vancouver fitness boot camp program for men through a local organization called Health Initiative for Men (HiM).

To express thanks to the fitness instructors who donated their time, I painted a group of original art cards titled, “Intervals”, in which I used a similar painting technique from one of my painting series called “Frequency”.

Although painting each card takes a bit of time to complete, it’s a relatively simple process. Here are the basic steps I followed:

step 1 – gather white card and cutting tools

step 2 – cut and score the card

step 3 – affix to easel and apply paint

step 4 – remove from easel once dry
